The Farrow family will hold their 63rd annual on-property ram auction at Babirra Poll Merino and Dohne Stud, Stansbury on Tuesday August 13.

“The 30 Poll Merino rams we will offer for auction this year will again have Australian Sheep Breeding Values from Sheep Genetics Australia,” Lynda Farrow said.

“Each year we are continuing to improve our ASBVs with our ram selection. 

“This keeps producing the dual-purpose features that our paddock-reared sheep are renowned for.”

This year’s sale team will include new progeny sired by Moorundie Park and Moorundie South rams. 

“These rams have constitution and bold crimpy free growing wool,” Mrs Farrow said.

“We will also offer rams bred by Babirra and Leahcim sires.”

The stud’s Poll Merino Ram Auction will be held immediately after the 23rd Dohne Ram Auction. 

The 50 Dohne rams on offer will have the continued Australian Sheep Breeding Values from Sheep Genetics Australia, to help clients select the right rams for their needs.

“Here at Babirra we continue with our Dohne AI to improve our genetics from other studs in Australia,” Mrs Farrow said.

The Dohne sale team this year will include progeny from Babirra, Chirniminup in Western Australia, and Harewood and Macquarie in New South Wales. 

“We are offering a great line up of dual-purpose rams,” Mrs Farrow said.

“All our rams are paddock reared, Brucellosis Free Accredited and OJD-MN3 Approved Vaccinated.

“We would like to take the opportunity to thank our clients for having purchased from us in the past and we look forward to your continued support.”

The stud’s on-property field day and auction will be held on Tuesday, August 13, with inspection from 9am. The auction will start at 11am.

A pre-sale inspection day will be held on Tuesday, August 6, from 10am to 4pm.
