CENTRAL Ag Solutions celebrated the opening of the business’s new premises in Arthurton with clients, Nutrien Ag Solutions staff and suppliers last Thursday, March 21.

Farming-supplies company Central Ag Solutions, part of a national network of 300 independent Nutrien Ag Solutions stores across Australia, has moved into a new purpose-built building just down the road from its former premises.

The business — which won the Nutrien National Independent Business of the Year award in 2023 — is jointly owned and run by Yorke Peninsula locals Paul Ackland, Sam Holmes and Nick Polkinghorne.

Mr Ackland said the new premises are an investment in the local community, emphasising that staying in Arthurton is of paramount importance for the business.

He also thanked Nutrien Ag Solutions for its support.

“The relationship with Nutrien Ag Solutions has been really positive for us, they provide us with certainty of supply and pricing that benefits our entire client base” Mr Ackland said.

“It’s a very exciting time for the business and our clients.

“It has been more than two years to get to this stage, but well worth it.”

Nutrien Ag Solutions Head of Independents, Rebecca Gay attended the opening and congratulated Central Ag Solutions on the new store.

“The new building is very impressive,” Ms Gay said.

“It shows the confidence the Central Ag Solutions team has in the future of farming here on the YP and is a fantastic addition to the Arthurton community.”
