MORE than 1.1 million tonnes of grain were exported through Viterra’s Wallaroo and Port Giles terminals, destined for international markets, in 2021-22.

Network-wide exporting milestones have also been surpassed across Viterra’s six port terminals with more than five million tonnes of grain successfully shipped so far this season.

Extensive processes, and the highest food safety and quality certification of any grain supply chain in Australia, give Viterra’s end-use customers confidence the grain it delivers will meet their required specifications and importing countries’ food safety requirements.

This confidence, coupled with the high quality grain grown in South Australia, means Viterra has been able to build long-lasting relationships over many years, and can also carry its reputation into new markets as demand requires.

This results in access to 40 buyers, including 13 exporters, for South Australian growers who deliver into the Viterra network, offering more choice when they choose to sell their grain.

Viterra also recognises the hard work its talented employees have put into efficiently moving the grain through its network to ports this season.

Their dedication to make things happen and get the job done is another key aspect in maintaining market access for South Australian grain.

Viterra congratulates growers on a successful 2021-22 season and thanks them for their continued support as the business connects local grain with global markets.
